WHY WALKING?

Walking is a basic way of moving people. This dynamic activity, which requires the harmonious work of hundreds of bones and muscles of the movement system, is an extremely effective and healthy way of physical activity. Walking regularly in the correct posture reduces the risk factors and brings a whole host of benefits to your overall health. It reduces the risk of some cancers, diabetes, heart and blood vessel disease, and depression. In addition, it extends life expectancy even in individuals who suffer from overweight and / or high blood pressure. Furthermore, walking also increases bone mineral density and balances blood lipoprotein levels.

WHY NORDIC WALKING? 

Nordic walking is sport activity tailored to recreational and athletic, safe, dynamic and effective activity for all ages. The sports equipment of nordic walking sticks enables walking in the nature that saves joints and spine and activates 90% of body muscle, which is incomparable to classic walking without the use of sticks. Nordic walking increases calorie consumption by walking smoothly by 30% to 50%. Nordic walking is up to 50% more efficient than classic walking, and takes place in the original and intact nature. The nordic walking activity has extremely positive effects on the locomotor, cardiovascular and respiratory system. It maintains bone density and body fatigue, prevents osteoporosis and arthritis, slows down the aging process, and improves muscular and overall endurance. It is very important in improving proper posture, strengthening the work of the vein and the function of the lymphatic system. The activity is also very effective in preventing various diseases, alleviating stress and addressing excessive weight problems.

HOW TO APPLY?

The registrations will be possible on the day of the event, but without the option of getting a event T-shirt.

Registration fee is 230,00 kn per participant

- professional guidance on a track up to 12 km in the vicinity of Vrsar

- pasta party

- event T-shirt (for those who make payment by 30/09/2021)

- instruction by sport leader on the proper technique of walking and using sports equipment of rods

- hire of nordic walking rods

 

WHAT ARE THE CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION?

Participants by logging in to LIM BAY NORDIC WALKING DAY are discontinuing the ability to transfer responsibility to the organizers and take part in their own responsibility. The participants are aware that the organizers are monitoring the event media and that the photos and video material created during the time, before and after the event, will be used for their internal needs and the need for event promotion. All photographs and video materials can be

used by organizers to publish on their communication channels (print media, web pages, social networks) for promotion and event advertising. Also, the participants are aware that the organizers will use their personal information for internal communication and for the purpose of maintaining and promoting events, all in accordance with the applicable regulations.

 

WHO IS THE ORGANIZER?

SILVIJA JAKOVČIĆ           

 I have a master's degree in kinesiology at the University of Zagreb, which earned me the title of professor of physical education and health. Nutrition is an important segment of my life, so I am currently finishing school for a nutritionist.

  
In addition to handball, I also trained judo (bronze at the national championship), water polo and volleyball. I am a coach 
of handball, volleyball, a bachelor of skiing, a Nordic walking instructor, a swimming teacher. My hobbies are adventure racing, 
hiking, beach volleyball, table tennis, basketball and gym.
 
I love sports and I live sports!
